Clint is a born and bred Zimbabwean. He created Umdingi Safaris to give his perspective on what he believes to be the most rewarding career of a lifetime. The back to basic camping idea came from his early days living in Zimbabwe, as a young lad and once school had finished for the day or the week, spending all of his time outdoors with his best of friends and most trusty canine friends.
We would love our clientele to have as much of an authentic experience in one of the Zimbabwe's most well known majestic National parks as well as the "hole in the wall" places that only a fair few know about.
Fishing is a passion of ours, where spending time on the Zambezi River for any amount of time for any level of fisherman/fisher-women is simply an experience that cannot be described via the web!
Conservation is possibly the most important concept right now in the Safari World. Incorporating Eco-friendly safaris; the People and Conservation need to work together to make this a reality. The conflict between Nature and Human Development on the African continent is an ongoing struggle. Having said this in Zimbabwe alone there is a huge push from the majority of the Safari Operators who are all doing incredible work with the communities with the aim that conservation will eventually be at the forefront of every community with-in Zimbabwe to save our heritage.
